 Development of high technologies is now one of priority problems of world scientific and technical progress. Thus one of most high technology is the technology of optical holography which can be carried now to a class of nanotechnology.
 Last years in Russia intensive introduction of holographic technologies in the most various branches of a science, techniques, economy and art also is abroad observed. Here, in particular, in the field of protective holography, graphic holography and display of three-dimensional objects on the basis of optical and holographic methods, hologram and diffraction optical elements, the newest workings out in the field of registering environments scientific and technical workings out are applied to holography and optical-holographic memory, holographic интерферометрия.
 It speaks well for that annual International conferences “Ноloexpo”, spent for the purpose of an exchange between experts new ideas, methods and experience in considered area, are timely and actual.
 Besides, rather necessary there is a requirement for an expert estimation of a condition of the world market of holographic production and directions of its development.
 5th International Conference “Ноloexpo – 2008” has been spent to the period from July, 1st till July, 2nd, 2008 in the city of St.-Petersburg, business centre "Neptune". Its organizers were Joint-Stock Company "HoloGrate"; Open Company "Holography - Service"; the Moscow State Technical University of a name AD Bauman; the Scientifically-technological centre of Unique instrument making of the Russian Academy of Sciences. As sponsors of Conference have acted - Open Society Research-and-production association “Krypten” (Dubna, Russia); Federal State Unitary Enterprise «Goznak»; Joint-Stock Company "HoloGrate" (St.-Petersburg, Russia); Joint-Stock Company «Holographic industry» (Minsk, Byelorussia); joint venture "Holography" (Kiev, Ukraine). Information sponsors were magazines "Watermarks" (St.-Petersburg, Russia) and «the World of techniques of cinema» (Moscow, Russia).
 Conference was spent at support of leading scientific research institutes, the centers and the companies of Russia and the CIS countries, the head profile organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Ministry of Justice of Russia, Federal service under the technical and export control of Russia and FSB of Russia.

At conference opening leading scientists of scientific research institutes of Russia, Ukraine, Byelorussia, heads of the largest companies of the CIS on manufacture of holographic production, in particular have acted: Odinokov S.B. - MSTU of N.E. Bauman (Moscow, Russia); Bogachevskaja E.N. - Joint-Stock Company "HoloGrate" (St.-Petersburg, Russia); Akimov B.V. - Open Society "RPA" KRYPTEN »(Dubna, the Moscow area, Russia); Tanin L.V. - Joint-Stock Company “Holographic industry” (Minsk, Byelorussia); Timoshenko A.N. - joint venture “Holography” (Kiev, Ukraine); Yan Lancaster, the secretary general of the International Association of Manufacturers of Holograms (IHMA) (Great Britain); Dr.Sci.Tech., professor Vlasov N.G. - MSTU STANKIN (Moscow, Russia); professor Sainov V. - Academy of sciences of Bulgaria (Sofia, Bulgaria); Dr.Sci.Tech., professor Poleshchuk A.G. - institute of automatics and electrometry the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Science (Novosibirsk, Russia); Representatives of Institutes and the organisations of the Ministry of Science and education, Academy of sciences of Russia, FSB of Russia, Ministry of Justice of Russia, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the commercial enterprises, working in the field of practical holography and polygraphy. 

 Simultaneously with conference there passed an exhibition “Ноloexpo – 2008” at which stands participants could acquaint with unique technologies and materials for the holography, the presented experts of Joint-Stock Company “HoloGrate”, Joint-Stock Company “Krypto-print”, Joint-Stock Company “Holographic industry” (Byelorussia), joint venture "Holography" (Kiev, Ukraine), Rasik Products Pvt. Ltd. (Director - Rasik Khandelwal, India). Representatives of firms have held presentations of production.
At a conference boardroom there were representatives of such organizations, as Joint-Stock Company "HoloGrate" (St.-Petersburg), FSUE Scientific and technological centre “Atlas” (Moscow), Open Society “Concern the Russian Protective Technologies” (Moscow), RPA “KRYPTEN” (Moscow), Open Company  “Holography-service” (Moscow), ARSRI Optiko-physical Measurements (Moscow), scientific research institute “Goznak” (Moscow), scientific and technological centre “Applied computer optics” (Moscow), Open Company “Nova-M” (Moscow), Open Society “Mosoblznak”, Institute of automatics and electrometry the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Science (Novosibirsk), Institute of systems of processing of images (Samara), Physical institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow), joint venture" Holography "(Kiev), Joint-Stock Company« Holographic industry »(Minsk), Open Company “Magic of Light” (Minsk), Institute of physics of semiconductors NAS of Ukraine, Institute of physics НАН of Kyrgyzstan, Research-and-production firm« Center of laser technologies »(Kazakhstan), “Geola UAB” (Vilnius, Lithuania) and many other things. 
The total statistics is that: in total participants of Conference there were 138 persons (Russia - 108 persons, Ukraine - 6 persons, Belarus - 6 persons, Lithuania - 2 persons, Kazakhstan - 1 person, England - 3 persons, India - 4 persons, Italy - 3 persons, 5 persons - Taiwan).
From all participants lecturers were 56 persons from Russia, 4 persons from Ukraine, 3 persons from Belarus, 1 person from Lithuania, 1 person from Kazakhstan, 1 person from England, 1 person from India, 2 persons from Bulgaria, 1 person from Czech.
7 reports at plenary session have been devoted prospects of development of holography; to new workings out in the field of protective holography - 4 reports; to graphic holography and display of three-dimensional objects - 6 reports; hologram and diffractive optical elements - 8 reports; holographic interferometry - 4 reports; to registering environments and materials for holography - 6 reports. 82 reports, from them 45 posters in total have taken place.
The collection of works in volume of 253 pages has been let out.
The comparative table of carrying out of Forums-conferences “Holoexpo” during 2004-2008 is more low resulted.

Information and advertising support has been rendered by Russian magazine "Watermark" April, №4 (60), 2008, published by Open Society GOZNAK, the Russian magazine “World of technique of cinema” June, №6 2008г., published Open Society “NIKFI” in which articles presented at conference have been published.
According to organizers, participants and visitors conference “Ноloexpo – 2008” has taken place as the event organically combining new ideas, industrial potential, engineering and enterprise interests.    
Participants of Conference  the unanimous decision on carrying out of following 6th International conference “Ноloexpo – 2009” on July, 1-2nd, 2009 in Kiev, Ukraine was accepted.
